Host: Francine
About the Host:
Francine is a native New Yorker who made her home in Las Vegas
in 1990. She is a mom who believes it's important to be aware of
the dangers facing our kids, an entrepreneur who has owned and
operated several business ventures in Las Vegas, and a
psychology major familiar with childhood abuse. She became very
aware of the ever increasing dangers facing kids today. She is an
information news aficionado that stays updated on all the current
stories concerning human trafficking.
TIMES HAVE CHANGED!
Teen Talk was birthed through Fran's genuine concern to reach
out. . . "As a mom Its hard to turn a blind eye when you hear of
child abductions, abuses, and human trafficking. This is happening
all over the world, including America: including Las Vegas. How can
anyone remain silent when you hear of innocence lost and those
being held captive for sexual exploitation. This is a major problem,
and it affects everyone. We cannot ignore the reality of the evil
going on around us. We must open our eyes, hearts and ears to
the cries of these children. It is estimated that 2 CHILDREN PER
MINUTE are trafficked for sexual exploitation.
200,000 American youths have been forced into the sex trafficking
industry in the United States alone, with up to 325,000 at risk.
These victims come from all backgrounds. It's closer then you
think, It's in your backyard! Kids from upper middle class homes
as well as the impoverished. It is a 32 Billion dollar a year industry.
Las Vegas is a major hub of this organized crime. Most who live
here have become desensitized or are unaware. Others who see
the problem are lifting their voice and bringing light to the
darkness.
"The spark ignited in me when I heard the news of a mentally
retarded girl being held by 5 men who tortured and raped her live
on the Internet for money. I couldn't get this out of my mind and
began thinking of all the kids that go missing and the pain that's
felt by all.

Not long ago I stumbled upon an online predator linked to the University of Nevada Las Vegas website. He bragged about
how he exploited young girls and lured them into sex-ploitaion for money. "I ruin them before their old enough to drink"
he said. This turned my stomach! I wanted to alert the media but didn't want to be on the news. Funny thing, God had
another plan!
I was asked if I would do a radio broadcast to make these things heard. I couldn't say NO! Abuse is something that no
one really wants to talk about, but it's important to give these victims a voice. It is the hardest thing for a victim to reach
out, after being beat down physically and emotionally. "Where can I go? Who will help me? Who can I trust? What will
people think of me?" When the spirit is broken its easy to be deceived.
As Dr Phil says,"We cant change what we don't acknowledge".
We Must Acknowledge These kids, and bring healing to the hurting. It is my sincere desire to educate and bridge hope to
those youth who are hurting and at risk: by bringing awareness to organizations that offer help to hurting victims, by
giving victims a voice, and restoring power and dignity through love. If it takes a village to raise a child, it also takes a
village to protect a child, and house and restore them to wholeness.
We have been created for purpose, Choose to make the world a better place,
