Empowering Artists of All Ages through Education &
Mentorship
Join me every Wednesday at noon as I introduce you to the members
of Women in Music and Arts, a non-profit organization comprising of
dynamic, influential women in the performing, visual and literary arts
dedicated to “Empowering Artists of All Ages through Education and
Mentorship.”
Listen as we meet local performers, painters, sculptors, singers,
songwriters, musicians, dancers, comedians, authors and more.
Discover how we are making a difference by supporting the arts and
providing Scholarships today to develop the artists of tomorrow.
Learn the tools and techniques available to develop creativity and
pursue your passion with segments from our “Empowering Women
Workshops.”
We will look back at the history of women’s influence on music,
literature, film and art and explore it’s impact on the world around us.
We will keep you informed about our upcoming WIMA Mixers, Art
Shows, Performances and Community Outreach Programs and let you
know how you can Make a Difference with WIMA.
About Sandy
Sandy Kastel has a vision and she is bringing artists together from all
genres, showcasing their talents in events, community outreach
programs and raising funds for scholarships with Women in Music and
Arts dedicated to “Empowering Artists
of All Ages through Education & Mentorship.”
Sandy has been performing on stages in Las Vegas and around the world
since she was a young girl, with a musical career that includes singing,
acting and dancing in musicals, plays, commercials, film and television
in various venues - supper clubs,
resorts, hotels, private parties and nightclubs; from Las Vegas to L.A.;
Nashville to New York, this dynamic singer is known for her positive
attitude, down-to-earth charm, and her powerful, sultry voice. She
loves all music, the depths of Jazz to the heart of Broadway, the soul
of Blues to the simple truths of Country music, Sandy sings as she feels—
deeply, passionately. Her interpretation of the classic torch song My
Man touched an audience of 50,000, received a standing ovation
making Sandy Kastel the first non-classical singer to receive a talent
award in the
Miss America Pageant.
As a songwriter she writes about what she knows, feels or learns from
others, expressing herself passionately, declaring her independence in
“Don’t Tell Me I Can’t,” passing every obstacle on the road in “Nashville
Tonight,” being playful in “Rope Me A Cowboy,” and tackling the pain
of losing a loved one in her newest single. “Indiana Rain.” A believer in
